Enda Gilvarry is expected to throw his hat into the ring for the vacant Mayo football manager's position.

The Western People is reporting that the 2013 All-Ireland MFC winning manager is set to enter the race to succeed Stephen Rochford before the deadline for nominations closes on Wednesday.

James Horan remains the bookies' favourite to return to the hotseat with this year's U20 manager Michael Solan also in the running. However, it looks increasingly likely that former Kerry manager Jack O'Connor won't be allowing his name to go forward.
