They haven’t gone away, you know.

Mayo were a notable absentee from the business-end of this year’s All-Ireland SFC, but despite being currently managerless and being told they’ve missed the boat, the ‘Mayo for Sam’ campaign goes on. This week, the slogan appeared on a giant billboard in London’s Piccadilly Circus where it accompanied an advert placed by FITAC Ireland.

In a tweet, FITAC said they were “delighted to have placed an advert on the new 4K screen in Piccadilly Circus, London, as part of our UK rollout," before adding: "We had a bit too much room left over in the scrolling banner so we had to fill it with something..!"
