Championships: The Louth football championships get under way this coming weekend with games in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We are not playing this weekend but will be out the following weekend against the winner of the St. Marys versus O’Raghallighs game that takes place on Sunday evening in Dunleer.
Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 10th July at 8.00pm, jackpot €4,100 in 48 numbers.
Club Finals: The AIB All-Ireland Club Finals will be moved from their usual March 17 to a new date. In 2020 the senior semi-finals in football and hurling will be played across the weekend of January 4/5 with the finals in football and hurling now been played on Sunday 19th January. The move is part of an overall commitment to condense the fixture calendar and to allow players who were unavailable because of the club semi-finals and finals become available for the Allianz Leagues.
Shopping: O’Connells has teamed up with Supervalue at the Fairways Dundalk to be in with a chance of winning a set of jerseys from Azzuari for our underage teams. Each time you visit Supervalue and spend over €30 you will receive a token and you can place it into our club slot. We need 2000 tokens to get our jersey allocation.
Cúl Camp: The O’Connells cúl camp for 2019 will start next Monday 15/7/19 until Friday 19/7/19 and online booking is still open on www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie.
Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Saturday 20th July in our clubrooms from 9.00pm, music by Dermott McConnell, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.
Slimming World: Slimming World will be in our clubrooms every Monday from 7.00pm with consultant Aveen 087-3620348.
