Our Senior Ladies started their Championship journey Sunday morning. A good performance brought them the win on a score of Gers 2.10 – St Mochtas 2.06. Well done to all involved. We hope to see Sandra Lynch back on the field very soon, after she picked up a bad injury in today’s match. All at the Gers wish you a speedy recovery.

This week has seen plenty of activity within our Juvenile Sector. Our u16 girls secured a great win against Dowdallsill/Roche in the league semi-final. Both u12 girl’s teams performed well and won their games. Our u14 girls had a great victory against Hunterstown in Division 1 and now sit top of their table. The division 2 side gave it their all against the Martins who would prove too strong on this occasion. The Minor boys were back in action after a long break for the exams, and recorded a good win on Thursday night against a tough Finbarrs/Lannleire side. Our u7 boys hosted a home blitz Sunday morning where 22 boys togged off for the club allowing us to play 3 teams.

We had in excess of 160 children attend the Cúl Camp in the Geraldines last week. Weather was on our side and these kids had a ball learning new skills, practising existing ones and making new friends. Thanks to everyone who helped out in any way, and especially our young coaches who made sure the kids had a great experience.

GERS JERSEY COMPETITION …. Over the summer months we will be running a monthly competition to see where and with who you will be seen wearing the Green and White. Check our social media platforms for all the ways you can enter our new competition. Monthly O’Neill’s voucher for each successful winner in June, July and August up for grabs. So get snapping.
