The club would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Peter Shevlin, Stabannon, formerly of Dunany who passed away recently.  Peter was played with the club for many years from the formation oif the club in 1957 right through to the 1970's.  He was part of 2 teams which lost Junior Championship finals in 1964 to Cooley Kickhams and in 1973 to Sean O'Mahonys.  He also won the McArdle cup on 3 occasions in 1960, 1963 and 1971.  Peter was a member of the Louth Junior team which won the Leinster Junior Championship in 1966 beating Kildare in the Final in Croke Park.  Although Peter moved to Stabannon he continued supporting the club and was attending games right up to last year.  His sons Aidan & Kieran also played for the Finbarrs for a couple of years in the early 2000's after transferring from Stabannon.  May he Rest In Peace.
