Geraldines Club Notes

Geraldines GFC were very sad to hear of the passing of Gerard Baldwin, father of our esteemed
coach Vincent. Our condolesnes to Vincent and his family at this very sad time.
Unlucky to Eamonn Dunnes men who were narrowly beaten by 2 points in the Paddy Sheelan
Cup ¼ match played last week in gale force conditions; Gers 0.8 St Mochtas 1.7. Our Senior
men have been drawn in Group 4 of the 2019 Louth Senior Championship. They will face
Naomh Martin and St Josephs in a local derby.
The Geraldines school programme sponsored by Frank Lynch & Co finished its 12 week
programme for 1 st and 2 nd class in St Francis and St Furseys. This programme continues in St
Oliver Plunkets School.
Our u10 girls had their first outing of the season on Saturday in Cooley. 23 girls braced the
desperate weather conditions and gave a great display of skill and determination.
Geraldines GFC walked in the Blackrock St Patricks Day Parade on Sunday. Young and old,
players and supporters all joined forces and walked in their colours with pride. There was a
great turnout overall and well done to all involved.
Tuesday night sees our club jackpot at €5,200.00. Please purchase your tickets from all local
shops in the Parish. As a club we rely heavily on this income to continue to grow and extend
our club facilities for the Parish. The winner could be you!!!!
