There was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne's Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 13th February. The winning numbers were 8, 10, 11 & 14. There were 4 match 3 winners Breda Butterly, Duddestown, Peadar Harmon, Annagassan, Sheila Woods, c/o Adrian Woods and Robert Byrne, Grangebellew who won €40 each. Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000. Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member. Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated. There is now also an option to participate in the Club Lotto by Standing Order. There are 2 options to enter by (1) pay €15 every 2 months for 1 entry per week or (2) pay €38 every 2 months for 3 entries per week. Please contact any committee member if interested.
Well done to the Finbarrs Intermediate mens team who had a good win v Naomh Martin on Saturday at Monasterboice in the First Round of the Paddy Sheelan Cup as they recorded a fine victory on a scoreline of 2-11(17) to 1-8(11).
The club are hosting another membership registration day on Friday 22nd February between 7:00pm and 8:30pm at the clubrooms in John Markey Park for men, ladies, juveniles and camogie sections. All players and members who wish to renew their membership are welcome to attend on either day. Membership Fees are as follows: Adult Player (Men/Ladies/Camogie) €75, Non Playing Full Member €50, Social Member €30, Juvenile Member €40 and Family Membership €130 (2Parents and 2 + Children). Student rates and dual membership rates (ladies football and camogie) also available. All Club Barrs Members are full members of the Club for the Year 2019 and will receive a discount off family membership if they chose this option for their family.
Well done to the boys under 13 team, mixed boys and girls under 12 team and the girls under 12 team who all recieved their medals last night. Congratulations to team mentors Dermot, Brendan Noel and Eileen. Thank you to Slan's for hosting the night and sponsoring the food. The breakdown of selections for week 3 were as follows: Dublin - 3, Mayo - 45, Monaghan - 7, Roscommon - 4, Tyrone - 1, Armagh - 1, Donegal - 1, Kildare - 7. As you can see the only team to win from that selection were Mayo! Well done to everyone who got through to the next round.
2018 season is off to a great start for the Naomh Fionnbarra Ladies team. Joint-Managers Alan McMahon and Stuart Reynolds along with selector Andrew Rodgers are welcoming new players to join the panel. Training is on Wednesday nights from 8:00-9:00pm at JohnMarkey Park and on Friday from 8-9pm at DKIT Gym for Spinning Class. If interested contact Marie on 0876528898.
Naomh Fionnbarra walking/running track around the field at John Markey Park is open for use. Floodlights will be turned on at the track on Monday, Tuesday and Friday evening between 8-9pm and members of the public are welcome to use the track. Togher Fit to run Group use the track for training on Monday nights and encourage anyone interested in running training to join in. All users of the track must be members of the club (either Full or Social members) to cover insurance costs. The track will be open for use for both Full and Social members all year round.
