Championship: We had a great result in the championship last Saturday night against O'Raghallaighs winning by seven points. The team started well but it was a bit of déjà vu when we give away two goals in two minutes but the lads steadied the ship and got back level about the 25th minute mark and went in at half time leading by three points. We got off to a great start after the break with a goal and from then on were in control of the game. The opposition only scored one point from play in the second half while getting six frees and a penalty and some of those decisions were dubious to say the least, but we came through and put ourselves in good position in the group. We play our neighbours St. Josephs in the last game next Sunday evening in Dunleer at 6pm and hopefully with the right result a chance of advancing to the knockout stages of the senior championship. All support welcome.
