Dromard Ladies Club Notes

Minors: Commiserations to the minor girls who lost in their semi final against Ballymore in Ballymore on Sunday last.  The ladies put in a tremendous effort over the last few weeks in terms of training and previous matches. It was a tough game but the girls and the parish should be very proud of how far they have come since September and how much their skills have improved. We would like to give a big thanks to senior manager David Pettit who managed the girls for the last few months and took time out of his own schedule to help us train and progress to the semi final. We would also like to show our appreciation to all the parents and supporters who came out to the matches especially Deirdre McLoughlin, Dominic Tierney and Bernie Green who helped out with trainings and the matches. Unfortunately some of the minor girls had their last game today at minor level, but our younger contingent of girls will keep fighting and hopefully win a final next year. In true spirit of fairplay and sportsmanship we wish the very best of luck to Ballymore who face Killoe in the final next week.

U12, U13 and U15 County Development: We would like to say congratulations to Lousie and Grace Tierney, Kate O'Connor, Kate McEntire  and Naoise Hourican on completing the 8 week course and receiving their County jackets in Cloguish on Saturday last. We would like to say thank you to Pat Tiernan, Mick Mulvey, Thomas Hoban, Sinead Macken and everybody else involved in running the course. It was a great experience for the girls and they got a lot of enjoyment out of it!

County U14 panel: Best of luck to Louise Tierney, Kate McEntire and Naoise Hourican who have their final trials on Thursday for the County U14 panel.

Birthdays: We would like to say a big happy birthday to Orfhlaith Mulligan who will turn 15 on Tuesday. We hope to see you out again at minors next year!
