Dromard Ladies Club Notes

County Matters: Pride of place this week must surely go to Longford County Ladies U/16 Panel who travelled to Longwood, Co. Meath to contest the U/16 C Championship Final against Wicklow. In the event they came out easy winners against a gallant Wicklow side to bring the cup home to Longford. Well done Ladies and especially our own girls on the panel: Shauna Hagan and Karen McLoughlin. Dromard Ladies are so proud of these two ladies and the huge commitment they bring not only to the county but also to our club. They are a shining example to all our underage girls, and show them what can be achieved through practice and dedication.

Results and Fixtures: Only one match to report this week. The second game in the U/14 Championship saw us entertain Mostrim, and although we led from start to finish it was hard to shake them off. Every time we opened up a sizeable gap back they came at us to keep the result in doubt till the final whistle. So this group have now won one and lost one.

On Monday night our u/12s were away to Rathcline in the final round of their Championship. Let's hope with their gradual improvement they have managed to record their first win. On Tuesday our U/16s played Ballymore up in Colmcille in the Final of the U/16 B Championship. Reports of these matches next week.

Underage Training: This is flying with big numbers attending every Saturday morning from 1030 to 1130. If you are yet to give it a go just turn up and see if you enjoy it. We are sure you will and look forward to seeing new faces. However, due to First Communions taking place this weekend, training will be cancelled as so many girls or their brothers will be involved. We will be back to normal on Sat 26th. Congratulations to everyone involved this weekend.
