09:17

There is no better excitement than the last round of the league, although Ireland v. Gibraltar came close yesterday evening!!!

09:16

The first of today's games throw in at 1pm and that is the remaining two fixtures in FL4, while at 1.30pm, we head to Nowlan Park for the opening NHL semi-final as Limerick take on Dublin.

08:52

Asides from that we also have the NHL semi-finals as Dublin play Limerick and Waterford face Galway at Nowlan Park.

08:51

At the other end of the table, Carlow take on Offaly with the loser joining Sligo in FL4 next year; a draw will save the Barrowsiders though.

08:50

There is no simple theory to this as if Westmeath or Louth win today, that outstanding fixture must be played.

08:47

Division Three is even more complicated given the fact that Louth and Westmeath's clash was called off last weekend.

08:47

Clare, Tipperary and Cork are battling to avoid the drop to Division Three with a win for the Banner over Tipp ensuring their FL2 status for another year. Cork have to beat Armagh and hope Tipp get something for their clash against Clare, while Tipp need a win and for Armagh to win too.

08:45

A Meath win and a win for Kildare over Donegal sees the Lilywhites come into second place and promotion.

08:44

If Fermanagh defeat Meath and Donegal defeat Kildare, then Meath, Donegal, and Fermanagh will all be on 10 points and the two teams with the best scoring difference progress to the final.

08:43

In Division Two, Meath are in pole position with a win at home over Fermanagh guaranteeing them top flight football next year.

08:43

A win for Monaghan over Mayo keeps them up, while Roscommon have to beat Kerry and hope Mayo do them a favour.

08:42

Monaghan, Roscommon, and Cavan are battling to avoid relegation. For the latter, the chances of survival are slim, even if they do manage to beat Dublin.

08:39

However, a defeat for Kerry and wins for Mayo and Galway would see them contest the final instead, if they can improve the scoring difference.

08:38

In Division One, four teams Kerry, Galway, Mayo, and Tyrone can still qualify for Allianz Football League Division 1 Final. The Kingdom lead the way and even a defeat should probably see them through, but who will join them?

08:37

This is set to be one crazy afternoon in the NFL as many counties still have something to play for.

08:36

Last round of the NFL, (well maybe not)

Today round seven of the NFL takes place and it should be the last round of games, but an outstanding fixture between Louth and Westmeath in Division 3 may have yet to be played.
