The first of our games throws in at 1pm as Westmeath and Meath do battle in the Joe McDonagh Cup.

It's all set up to be an interesting afternoon and we will be back closer to throw in time with some team news.

Dublin entertain Kilkenny at Parnell Park in the Leinster SHC, while another game in the Joe McDonagh Cup sees Laois and Kerry do battle.

Up in Ulster, Donegal and Cavan meet in Ballybofey, while in Leinster Offaly take on Wicklow and Carlow meet Louth. Both games form a double header in O'Connor Park.

Down west, we have the eagerly awaited clash between Mayo and Galway.

This is part of a double header which will be followed by the same two counties meeting in the O'Byrne Cup final.

Hurling and football is covered and it's hurling that starts the day as neighbours Westmeath and Meath clash in Cusack Park.

What a day's entertainment we have in store with no fewer than eight games today.
