The Galbally Junior Footballers played Banogue in Kilbreedy on Friday night last, winning by 3-9 to 0-12. The team was: Tom Donegan, Cathal Flynn, Aidan Sheehan, Darragh Keogh, Billy Donoghue, Dylan O’Shea, Conor O’Mahony, Owensie Sheehan (0-3), Ryan Tobin (1-0), Vinny Sheehan, Calum Sheehan (1-1), Jason Dineen (0-2), Alex Finnan, Quinn Perry (0-1), Jonathan Scully (1-1). Subs: Jack Hogan (0-1), Podge Hyland, Pat O’Byrne

 

Galbally Minors beat Ballysteen by 3-13 to 3-5 in Ballysteen to qualify for the Premier Minor Football Semi Final against either St Kierans or Ballysteen. Fr Caseys will play NCW or Monaleen in the other Semi Final. The team was: Dylan O’Sullivan, Kevin Cooke, Brian Heavey, Cathal O’Mahony, Jack O’Reilly, Eoin O’Mahony (Capt), Michael O’Donnell, Peter O’Dwyer, Eoin McGrath, Patrick McGrath, Josh Dineen, Jordan Dineen, Owen O’Sullivan, Shane Hanrahan, Ciaran Sheehan (Vice Captain). The Galbally Under 16 team won the County Shield, beating Monaleen by 2-16 to 5-3 on Sunday last in Old Christians, Rathbane. David O’Mullane missed out on the game due to injury and we wish him a speedy recovery. The team was: Jack O’Keeffe, Ciaran Beston, Conor Finn (0-1), Shane Ryan, James O’Sullivan, Cathal O’Mahony, Bailey Ryan, Eoin McGrath (Capt)(0-2), Paddy Kennedy (0-7), Niall O’Dwyer (1-0), Owen O’Sullivan (1-5), John English, Josh Ryan, Ben Ryan, Billy O’Keeffe. Subs: Dillon Moriarty, Jamie McGrath, Eoghan Beston. The squad was notable for having five sets of brothers with the O’Keeffe, Beston, McGrath, O’Sullivan and Ryan brothers all playing an important part.  

 

The Galbally Under 10’s were in action recently at a blitz in Hospital. The squad was: Stephen Davern, Noah Morrissey, Lee Meade, Darragh Sheehan, Jack Hanrahan, Callum McCarthy, Billy Harty, Joe O’Donnell, Ryan Heffernan, Danny Hanrahan, Sean O’Connell, Michael Davern. The Under 12s beat Coislea Gaels 3-7 to 2-2 on Friday night last. Best wishes to Anna Rose Kennedy, Caitlin Kennedy and Emma Morrissey in Croke Park this coming Sunday.  

 

The Latest Split the Pot Winner was Bill Cussen who was the lucky winner of €405. Next Draw is in O’Connell’s Bar on Saturday Night 14th September.
