A brilliant final that ended in a draw after extra time,with the lead changing hands on numerous occasions.  Southside Gaels led by nine points at the interval but credit to Crecora who fought back admirably to level late in the game.

In extra time it was Crecora who forged ahead ,but the Gaels  fought back and Calvin Moran,who was prominent throughout, even had the chance to win the game with a 65 yard free with the last puck of the contest .It just tailed off  wide and the sides finished level with a replay required.

In truth it would have been harsh to have a losing team on the day,credit to both sets of players on an outstanding game of hurling in Rathkeale.

 

Limerick Reach National Hurling League Semi Final:

St Patrick's Gearoid Hegarty  was  man of the match  for the Limerick senior hurlers in the  national hurling league quarter final  against Laois  on Saturday,contributing three points from play in a brilliant all round performance. Limerick will now meet  the winners of Dublin and Tipperary in the Semi Final.

 

County Football League:

St Patrick's Intermediate footballers will make their competitive debut for 2019 on Wednesday night under lights in Rhebogue ,when they play Galbally at 8.15pm. Best of luck to the panel of players and management for the year ahead.

 

City Intermediate Hurling Championship:

St Patrick's Intermediate hurlers will also play their first competitive game on Saturday evening, against Kildimo at 5pm in Mungret.Best of luck to the panel of players and management for the year ahead.

 

U10 Girls Football County Blitz:

St Patrick's hosted a very successful U10 football blitz on Saturday last. We welcomed 11 teams from across the county and over 150 girls playing. With International Woman's Day on Friday, it was fantastic to see so many girls playing, making new friends and having fun.A big thank you to everyone who helped to make it a success. Well done to all the kids  and a big thanks to all the parents and volunteers for their support.

St Patricks Gaa will once again March in the Parade for 2019:

A tradition we are very proud of ,as the club is named after our patron saint and we are also the oldest Gaa club in Limerick City.

Past experiences include when the club proudly led the parade as Grand Marshall with Emma O’ Driscoll . We performed hit single " here come the boys" in front of the Mayoral stand. 

In 2011 we celebrated 125 years since the club was founded as young and old alike marched on O’Connell Street.

We will be Number 25 in the Parade this year.

Any club member or player of any age who wish to march on Sunday are always very welcome:
