This was a very tight game played down in Knockaderry, in very fine conditions, at half-time Granagh/ Ballingarry led by 0-6 to 0-5 and then in the second half we scored 0-8 to Granagh/ Ballingarry 2-0, with Granagh/ Ballingarry goals coming from Donal O’Grady and Jack Cagney, this was a first time winning this competition since 2009 and the above club would like to thank the management team of Ross Egan, Garrett Noonan, Micheál Brosnan and Tommy Stack and the panel of players led by Kevin McGill Captain.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the game coming from John O’Kelly and Micheál Reidy and then John O’Grady replied with the first point for Granagh/ Ballingarry to leave a point between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored then next two points to leave three points between the sides and these points came from Micheál Reidy from a free and John O’Kelly and then Granagh/ Ballingarry scored the next three points to bring the sides back on level terms for the first time during the game and these points came from Jack Cagney, Edward Sheehy and Aaron Smith. Patrick Donnelly of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Séan O’Connor of Granagh/ Ballingarry exchanged points to keep the sides on level terms and then Séan O’Connor gave the lead back to Granagh/ Ballingarry by scorning a point just before the end of the half. To leave the score at half-time Granagh/ Ballinagarry 0-6 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-5.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points coming from Micheál Reidy, Patrick Donnelly and John O’Kelly to lead by two points and then Granagh/ Ballingarry then scored two goals within a minute of each other and they came Donal O’Grady and Jack Cagney with 44 minutes gone in the game to lead four points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last five points of the game to win by a point and with two of these points coming from John O’Kelly and these two points were the levelling point and winner and the other points came Killian Lynch, Donal Molyneaux and Jason Stokes. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-13 to Granagh/ Ballingarry 2-06.
