This was a very tight game, with Kevin Noonan giving a man of match performance scoring 5 points during the game with 3 from play and the 2 from frees and the other points came from Garrett Noonan scored three points with two frees and the other from play and the other two points came from Cillian Fahy both from play. This draw puts onto seven points with the table going into the last round of games is as follows: Newcastle West 11, Ballysteen 8 points, Monaleen and Dromcollogher/ Broadford both on 7 points, and Rathkeale on six points, St. Kieran's 4 points, Na Pairsaigh 2 points and St. Patrick's 1 point. The remaining fixtures are follows: Newcastle West VS Rathkeale, Rathkeale VS Na Pairsaigh, Monaleen VS Rathkeale, St. Patrick's VS St. Kieran's and Dromcollogher/ Broadford VS St. Patrick's.

 

In the first half Monaleen lead by 0-7 to 0-6 with the points coming from Kevin Noonan 3 points, Garrett Noonan 2 points and Cillian Fahy a point and the in the second half we scored 0-4 points to Monaleen 0-3 and our points came from Kevin Noonan 2 points and the other points came from Garrett Noonan and Cillian Fahy a point each.

U11 Football

 

Our U11 footballers played Feohanagh on Saturday last. We had only just eleven players on the day with various players gone on holidays at this time of year. Our players put in a good effort with seven of our players still under ten years of age. Feohanagh were just that bit better than us on the day. It was great to have Jack Noonan back in action again. These were the list of players: J. Noonan, R. White, G. Farrell, A. O'Dell, B. Geary, R. O'Dell, O. Broderick, J. Linehan, C. Burke, R. Jefferies, S. Browne.

 

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

 

Results of the 300th draw took place on Monday July 9th, in Foley's Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 2, 21, 26, 29 there was no winner of the jackpot at €4,800 and there was three winners of match three at €105 and they each got €35 and they were: Pat O'Connell, Castleishion, Dromcollogher, Pat O'Brien, Feohanagh, Patricia Cregan, Rowels, Meelin and the two lucky dips of €50 each and they were: Nell Kelly, Knocktoosh, Broadford, and Breda O'Carroll, Knockgloss, Broadford and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night July 16th, in the Corner House, Dromcollogher, at 10.15pm sharp, the jackpot going up to €4,900 (win or share) and the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

 

Non-Stop GAA Club Draw

The first draw took place on last Sunday July 9th, after Dromcollgher mass, the winners in the fully paid members draw were as follows: €200 Joan Moloney, Knockacraig, Dromcollogher, €100 Paddy Boyce, Tullylease and €100 Kieran Noonan, Carraward West, Dromcollogher and the main draws winners were as follows: €500 Kathleen and Robert Costello, €200 Tom McGarry, Farrihy, Broadford, €100 John P Lenihan, Farrihy, Broadford, €100 Mike Boyce, Dromcollogher and €100 John Lordan, Mondellihy, Dromcollogher, you can still join the draw at €40 for the last two remaining months or €20 per month.

 

Weeding Bells

 

Congratulations to Michael and Siobhan Boyce of Dromcollogher who got married on Friday last, in Broadford Church and reception was held in Killarney Heights hotel, Michael plays both Intermediate Hurling and Senior Footballer with the club and Siobhan plays with the Ladies Football and also plays soccer with Broadford United on the ladies' team. A great day and night was by one and all who attend this wonderful weeding.
