Croker return on Leitrim's radar

Never one to rest on his laurels, Leitrim manager Terry Hyland is already eyeing a return to Croke Park in 2020.

Hyland believes there is no reason why his charges can’t reach the FL3 decider next year as the Cavan native looks to push on to the next level.

Just a few short days after losing the FL4 final to Derry, Hyland has been looking ahead and he feels that the 2020 FL3 final is a realistic target for his confident charges.

“It will be immense for them because to be fair, they’ve never been up at this level before and it will give them that little boost and little bit of confidence,” Hyland told the Leitrim Observer.

“I actually think they have the ability to come back to Croke Park next year of they apply themselves right and work hard.

“I said that to them in the dressingroom and I have no problem saying it publicly because there is an awful lot more in them.”
