Limerick’s players executed their game plan to perfection at Croke Park today.

The Treaty County registered a comprehensive 5-6 to 0-8 victory over Louth in the ladies football junior decider and, speaking to TG4’s GAA BEO shortly after the final whistle, victorious manager John Ryan revealed that they got their tactics spot on.

“We’re delighted to be All-Ireland champions. The goals we got before half-time, I think they helped and we stuck at the game plan,” he said.

“I am so proud of the girls that they actually stuck to the game plan. We worked on it all week. We had the Gaelic Grounds for training compliments of the Limerick County Board which was excellent for us. We tried to use the width of Croke Park and it worked today.

“We got the vital scores at the vital times.”
