Tipperary captain Samantha Lambert accepted the Lidl National League Division 2 trophy and then paid an emotional tribute to her former team-mate Rachel Kenneally, who passed away recently at the age of 26.

'Rachel played alongside me in the 2013 All Ireland Final', says Samantha. 'She is always in my thoughts, it was tough going out there today but I was glad I was able to lift the cup for her today'. 

Tipperary beat Cavan by a point in Parnell Park, 0-21 to 3-11.
