St Mullins’ captain Marty Kavanagh is determined not to have any regrets after Sunday’s Leinster club SHC final.

The Carlow champions are massive underdogs against a star studded Ballyhale Shamrocks side that includes such household names as TJ Reid, Michael and Colin Fennelly and Joey Holden amongst others.

In their semi-final, St Mullins came out the right side of a titanic battle against Laois champions Rathdowney-Errill to book their place in the final.

They are certainly there on merit and Kavanagh stressed to the Carlow Nationalist that they are not just going to make up the numbers this weekend.

“It’s a huge occasion,” said the county star. “We have to look on it as another game. If you get caught up in the moment it will be gone.

“We cannot have any regrets and we have to go out and hurl the way we can hurl.”
