Dublin’s drive for five reached its intended destination on Saturday evening. Here is our final team of the week from the 2019 inter-county season…

1. Stephen Cluxton (Dublin)

The Dublin captain’s second-half save from Stephen O’Brien was a pivotal moment while his kick-out strategy was as reliable as ever.

2. Jason Foley (Kerry)

On a day when the Dublin forward division fired on all cylinders, Foley battled well to hold Dean Rock to two points from play.

3. Michael Fitzsimons (Dublin)

The tight-marking Cuala clubman is Jim Gavin’s go-to-man when there are fires to be put out and the best compliment you can pay him is that he makes defending look easy at times.

4. Jonny Cooper (Dublin)

Endured a difficult day at the office in the drawn game but his determination to make amends was obvious throughout Saturday evening's contest.

5. John Small (Dublin)

Tasked with the job of policing the dangerous Stephen O’Brien, Small went about his business with a minimum of fuss.

6. Eoin Murchan (Dublin)

A late replacement for Michael Darragh Macauley, the diminutive Murchan produced the game’s defining play at the start of the second-half.

7. Brian O Beaglaoich (Kerry)

Niall Scully was one of the few Dublin players who didn’t make as big an impact as he would have liked and that was due in no small way to O Beaglaoich’s effort.

 
8. Jack Barry (Kerry)

The battle for midfield supremacy wasn't as obvious as it was the first day but Barry did manage to curb Brian Fenton’s considerable influence.

9. James McCarthy (Dublin)

The versatile Ballymun Kickhams ace capped an industrious performance with a wonderful second-half point.

10. Paul Mannion (Dublin)

Didn’t perform to his usual high standards in the drawn game but lightning was never going to strike twice and he kicked three crucial points.

11. Ciaran Kilkenny (Dublin)

There was no disputing the Saturday Game’s choice as Man of the Match – the Sky Blue’s playmaker was involved from start to finish and clipped over four points.

12. Brian Howard (Dublin)

Added a third Celtic Cross souvenir to his medal collection and, on current form, there is plenty more to come from the Raheny man and his team-mates.

13. David Clifford (Kerry)

A four point return from the Fossa prodigy but that will be of little consolation to him this week.

14. Con O’Callaghan (Dublin)

Will feature prominently in the Player of the Year permutations after pick-pocketing Tom O’Sullivan to the tune of four points.

15. Paul Geaney (Kerry)

Created plenty of problems for Davy Byrne and found the target with four points.
