Kilkenny boss Brian Cody has handed Paul Murphy his first of the season in Sunday's Leinster SHC clash against Offaly at Nowlan Park.

Danesfort clubman Murphy missed the Cats' victorious league campaign as he was away on a tour of duty with the defence forces in Lebanon.

He starts at wing-back in place of the injured Enda Morrissey as part of three changes in personnel from last weekend's comeback victory over Dublin.

Cody has also called up the experienced Conor Fogarty and his fellow James Stephens clubman Luke Scanlon as Ger Aylward and Bill Sheehan drop out.

Kilkenny (Leinster SHC v Offaly): Eoin Murphy; Joey Holden, Padraig Walsh, Paddy Deegan; Conor Delaney, Cillian Buckley, Paul Murphy; Conor Fogarty, James Maher; Martin Keoghan, TJ Reid, Richie Leahy; John Donnelly, Walter Walsh, Luke Scanlon.

Subs: Darren Brennan, Conor O'Shea, Conor Browne, Robet Lennon, Jason Cleere, Lester Ryan, Pat Lyng, Liam Blanchfield, Ger Aylward, Bill Sheehan, Colin Fennelly.
