A place in the Christy Ring Cup semi final has been secured and Kildare manager Joe Quaid is adamant that the whole squad have played their part so far.

Last weekend's win over Mayo which was preceded by an opening day win over Roscommon sees the Lilywhites through to the last four with a game to spare.

That game is against a Wicklow side that are also unbeaten and also through to the last four. Quaid hinted to the Leinster Leader that more of the squad will get game time against the Garden County.

"The lads we have on the panel, no matter who we put out, are going to give everything. We have strength and depth in the panel this year. Last year especially we had to bring in permit players because we hadn't even a panel," said Quaid.

"Now, we've strength in depth and every day we go out we bring someone on and they do the business and that is exactly what happened against Mayo. That is what we need to keep competition for places."
