Kerry manager Fintan O’Connor has voiced his concern over the fact that the postponed clash between Offaly and Antrim could be played after the final round of HL2A fixtures.

O’Connor feels that if the game is not played before the final round of fixtures, it gives both Offaly and Antrim an unfair advantage of knowing what is actually at stake.

Kerry lead the way in the division with three wins from three as they prepare to play Wicklow this weekend and then finish the group phase with a home game against Antrim.

By then, they could have their place in the final secured, but O’Connor told the Kerryman that with no room for the postponed game until after the final, the whole schedule will be pushed back.

“I don’t know what the GAA are going to do because the last round of the league games should all be played at the same time, because Antrim and Offaly if their game, which was off, goes to the last round of the league and it’s played after it gives them a bit of an advantage, but I don’t know are they going to play that next week and put the last week on the week after,” asked O’Connor.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen like, I presume all the last round games would be on the same weekend, that would make sense. It wouldn’t be right otherwise.”
