Former All-Star corner-back Shane Enright is pushing hard to be fit for Kerry's first round of the Super 8s as the Kingdom clash with Galway in Croke Park on Sunday.

The Tarbert clubman has been training with the rest of the panel this week, but manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice has conceded that he may not be fit in time for the meeting with Kevin Walsh's team.

"That might change over the sessions we have before the game but at the moment it is looking unlikely", Fitzmaurice told Jason O'Connor of The Kerryman newspaper.
