Got Dropped last weekend - Not a happy man id say as he was one of the better defenders we had over the last few years."
If that's true it's very surprising.
The fullback line is where we have the least depth of all.

Good player surprised but we have to assume others were outperforming him

My only issue with brannigan being dropped (I do rate him highly to be fair) was that he didnt get a call to prove himself. I know now the call did eventually come a few weeks later.

Anyone know why he didnt get the call until later on? I've never heard of this happening before

Is B McHugh involved this year. Surprised Connor Gleeson involved as goalie as plays outfield for club. He does have League of Ireland experience as a keeper though.

Confidence on the ball, is a must at the top level.. I can see where management is coming from. Lack of it, from just one player alone, can send the heebee jeebies right through the lines.

Brannigan is in the panel now and by all accounts is going very well from what ive heard off one or two sources. Will be one of the main players this year id imagine

Strong rumours going around lads not happy with the gym so far. Going elsewhere for more because it's too easy.

He wasn't called in. He rang PJ wondering why he wasn't called in. Told him to come into the trials.

Agree. Lads that are in doing trials etc should realise it's for County. Its supposed to be tough. What u put in is what take out.

Thanks disappointed he wasnt called in to begin with but great that management had no problem letting him fight for his place when he picked up the phone to them.

I do think everyone should have to fight for their place. Hoping they've a good psychologist on board. These repeated mental collapses are what are going to hold us back forever if not sorted.

I fully believe that we have a great panel of players to go toe to toe with the top. Unfortunately some of those players dont feel the same. About time they did

I think he's limited enough but to be fair to him he was one of Galway's better players on the day when they lost to Mayo. And he was just back from injury as well. Would have thought he was worth keeping around the squad.
