Gym/field you'd imagine.. I'd also hope the gym work is on the instructions and supervision of the strength and conditioning coach and not players heading off on their own... Still I'm sure some players have received calls by now?

Mcdaid is gone to Aussie rules.

They are back training as there is an early start to the campaign next year, they are mostly doing basketball at the moment.

Sean Mulkerrins is training with the seniors.

Is McDaid definitely gone? I know he was gone for trials but did he get a contract offer?

Not looking to good for Sean Armstrong for next season or beyond! Just read an interview he did recently, his back is given him serious problems at the moment, so his footballing career with Galway is lying in the balance over the next couple of weeks until he hears what the surgeons say....

As far as I'm aware nothing has been confirmed regarding McDaid. Yes he was on trials over there and there was speculation that Carlton were interested in him but I haven't heard anything else. He could very well be back. Open to correction on this.

Sean Andy and Mulkerrins must be nurtured and developed into senior players, 2 very good defenders. The only hope of daithi burke lining out for the footballers is if he's given compensation by Kevin to train with the hurlers presominanatly and be a dual player, I can't see that happening.

Have to say, given the last two seasons this fixture is not the be all and end all. A Mayo All Ireland would not be complete without beating Galway, the same is not true of ourselves, Hopefully we are looking a bit further than May in 2017 as the Tipp game and the Kerry game were two of the tamest Galway Performances in Living memory.

We would take any sort of an All Ireland win at this stage my friend. Beating Galway or not would not matter a jot. That said I think we need to go through the front door with he least amount of games next year.

I believe he has 40 called up for training as in gym routines and trial matches, young rob finnerty is there anyway and a couple more from salthill minor and senior teams, its just for experience won't be seen come fbd.
I'm sure there are lots of new faces from around the county, let's hope he can gel a good group together.
