Replying To millertime:  "I take no joy in their defeat. They've been the a truly exceptional team over the last two decades. However the way they exploited a technical loophole in order to qualify leaves a bad taste in this years championship. Their actions lacked sportsmanship, decency and fair play which should be the hallmarks of a great team. However its time to move on say well done to Craughwell, a well merited win by all accounts."
How come it didn't leave a bad taste in 2014 when Beagh did it, I think it's about time the Turloughmore and dra saga was put to bed and left to sleep all this sniping and back biting is bringing the bitterness back into Galway hurling let's get on with the games and who knows maybe we might have new county champions Cappy are the dark horses onwards and upwards

Of course what Beagh did in 2014 is the same,....theirs was an equally unsporting, self centred objection which served nobody but themselves........would be great to see a new winner this year

these unsporting selfish objections succeed, Why?
because there are rules that apply to all.
I don't like the rule but it was the clubs all over the country that wanted it.

I hope Craughwell win the county title. They deserve it. They are a senior team for a long time now with senior stalwarts and a good attitude. Theyve been close and were not a bitter team in defeat to Sarsfields a few years ago. Cappy on the other hand are a bunch of cocky young lads who are only senior a couple of years. It would be terrible for Galway hurling if they won it as they dont deserve to. They got their day in the sun a few years ago when they came up senior. Time for Craughwell to have their day in the sun.

Ah come on...whoever is the best team deserves it. If Cappy get to the final and win it they'll deserve it.

Mellows v Clarinbridge replay this Sunday..have Clarinbridge blown their chance?Heard both teams hit with injuries?Mellows will be an awful lot better with a game played and should take them handy enough in the finish.
Bridge team is coming but i feel they have over acheived for this year.

you'd think after coming from 6 points down, Mellows would have a mental advantage, the bridge players might be thinking they had their chance last weekend. Saying that, clarinbridge have a nice team...so expecting a close game again.

It may have taken a while to get to this stage, but the semi-finals are this sunday. Expecting Cwell/Gort to be a cracker, no more than a point or two in it either way i reckon.

Craughwell and Gort met in semi final last year Gort won by 2pt craughwell were in control conceded soft goal near end and missed a sitter themselves right at end to win it so I'm expecting a humdinger if day is dry a big crowd and don't rule cappy out of winning 1st game
