Connacht wins for Spiddal, Easkey and Tooreen

Spiddal (Galway), Easkey (Sligo) and Tooreen (Mayo) have qualified for Connacht club finals.

Extra-time was needed to separate Spiddal and Belmullet in their Connacht club IFC semi-final at Tuam Stadium. The sides finished level on 0-8 apiece at the end of normal time, but the absence of star forward Ryan O'Donoghue was felt by the Mayo side in extra-time as Spiddal ran out 0-13 to 0-9 winners.

The Dessie Sloyan managed Easkey progressed to a Connacht club JFC final against either Kilglass Gaels (Roscommon) or Clonbur (Galway) after registering an excellent 3-7 to 0-9 victory over Mayo's Balla in Enniscrone.

Meanwhile, Mayo hurling kingpins and title holders Tooreen were 0-18 to 1-13 winners over St Gabriel's in their Connacht club IHC semi-final tie at McGovern Park, Ruislip.
