Roscommon's search for a new senior football manager looks to have finally ended.

Nearly three weeks after preferred candidate Aidan O'Rourke withdrew from the process, the Rossies are expected to name Kevin McStay's successor tonight with Anthony Cunningham being hotly tipped to take over.

The Kiltoom resident had been in the running for the Dublin hurling manager’s job before it went to fellow Galway man Mattie Kenny last week. The former Galway hurling manager is no stranger to football success, having led Garrycastle to an All-Ireland club SFC final appearance in 2012. He also had success with his adopted St Brigid's before that.
