Cynicism And Feigning Injury

the whole area of referring needs to be addressed. get rid of linesmen and have the 3 officials in different zones on the field. between 65's and each side of them. (Probably 2 officials would do but as we currently have 3.....i don't count the umpires!)

each ref could blow for a foul in their zone. or you could have a ref monitoring off the ball stuff in each half (ignoring the play) and the third ref doing as he does today i.e. following the play

I'm sure they could work out which direction the line ball should go without too much bother.

the beauty of the above is that u do not need extra officials. obviously at lower levels linesmen are not qualified refs so u may not be able to roll this out to junior c or underage club competitions. but even as we are the lower down the levels u go the less facilities u get so that should not stop it.

I saw a ref instruct his linesman to watch for off the ball stuff at 1 end of the pitch after a mill up and it worked very well. Same idea as soccer really where each linesman have responsibility for half the pitch

Scandalous behaviour from the Tipp player to get Kevin Moran sent off. He instigated the incident to begin with. What is Moran supposed to do ? Wait for it to happen again ? The ref can not be blamed. He asks the lineman what happened and he gets the answer that Kevin swiped at him. A f-rt would be worse. Players are big time going down this path and it is time managers who seem to know every thing tell them quit it.
