Some comeback by Galway in Letterkenny, winning by a point from being 7 points down against a strong wind in the second half. Potential to become a top 4 team under Joyce.

Vital 2 points secured by Mayo in Navan. Mayo well below par again which is worrying. Conditions very difficult with the wind.

Kevin McLoughlian off the bench with 1-2

Replying To arock:  "Explain how you know if Monaghan chasing draw game would have been blown up? So not only, according to you, is the ref just no good but he was deliberately part of a conspiracy? You can take your tinfoil hat off. I have no idea where he got 10 mins from I am sure he will justify it but accusing him of basically cheating as well! You are on your own with that."
Yes of course I am calling bias. It's a reasonable inference. The decision was bizarre, deliberate, and against the run of what he had been doing all throughout the game. All during the game, he played advantage, when players were not in nearly as good a position as McManus was. Yet in a situation where the advantage was blatant, he calls play back. Did he just forget the rules all of a sudden? Sun get in his eyes? Go figure, for heaven's sake. Dublin got lucky with the ref. Same as it ever was.

Galway play better football than Donegal but are not as clever as them with the way the rules are. Football won today at least.

All games this weekend very close. Meath are goners you'd have to say, buy who knows who will join them. 1st place on 4 pts while 7th place have 3 pts, extremely close.

We host Mayo in 2 weeks which is a massive game. If we win that I would breath easier.

Donegal's inability to get a result against the top teams from winning positions must be a worry to them.

Think both teams play a nice brand of football. Galway on an upward curve

Not a worry at all, the simple fact is that Donegal haven't won a game in Letterkenny since Jesus was a baby.
That pitch is the ultimate hoodoo & so it proved today.

I wouldn't read too much into a one point win on a day like that.

Things are getting tight in Division 1. A lot of 1 point decisions and draws lately. Some Karma on display too. Great season ahead. Galway Abu!!!

Were the Dubs "lucky with the ref" up in Omagh for the past two years also? If you actually watch the ref in this incident he blows immediately when the clash occurs probably thinking clash of heads, rightly not even considering advantage if the collision looks dangerous. There's no such thing as "luck" when a team comes back from 9 points down in the 61m to draw. That's gut determination and a sign of greatness.

Replying To maroondiesel:  "Oh my God, what a load of madness. No card on Donegal when Mc Daid was knocked down from the back and seriously injured. A free against Finnerty for not calling a mark. A mark given to Walsh who never asked for it and he had to take a hail Mary shot. The rules are crazy. Also, can you handpass after a mark? Donegal do it. The rules have made a mess out of the game. Galway would be relieved after the Tralee debacle. Both teams must be congratulated for playing in those conditions."
Well done to Galway they deserved the win, they are turning Gaelic football into a clusterf*ck with their stupid rules and abysmal refereeing, God help us it's getting hard to watch.

Must say joxer yes it was some come back by the dubs and let me add I was up in tryrone today and the stuff is unbelievable typically tryrone. The great dubs won 5 in a row and they won it playing football the it should be played not the micky harte way. Long live football. Joe brolly you were spot on. I for one want no part of that rubbish

It's such a bizarre thing. From reading online Donegal have played their 16 times since 2007 and won twice.

Depends on who wins, personally I'd take a lot, considering we had a very new team against a very experienced Donegal team.

Really important result for us after Monaghan got that draw yesterday. Hopefully a win against Meath and a decent score difference will be enough to keep us, but teams have gone down on 5 points before

Division 1 is really sizzling up with 7 counties in contention. it's great despite the crazy new rules. Please scrap the mark as the poor refs have their hands full and how about we get a clock and buzzer system. I mean its 2020.
