Stefan White played for both Louth & Monaghan in the 80's & 90's.
He won an Ulster SFC with Monaghan in 1988 before heading back to Louth.

Inter county transfers are bad, but inter parish transfers due to a falling out scenario are absolutely toxic.

Played for them in recent Munster league.

Hardly a Judas transfer. The lad deserves to play at a higher level than Meath can give him. He was in college with a fair few of the Waterford panel and is based there full time so good luck to him. I don't think anyone in Meath has a problem with this transfer.

O'Malley is eligible under the GAA's parentage rule something which has been kind to the Rossies in recent years eg. Conor Cox. Anyway isnt this what they call the Judas Transfer in soccer where a player transfers to the selling club's biggest rivals? Can anyone recall any 'Judas Transfers' in the GAA?"
He hadnt played for seniors so not that big of a deal. and dont think he is good enough to play with seniors, there a few goalkeepers ahead of him. James Horan was his club manager for 2 years so if he was good enough he would have been in training with them last year. So cant see anyone having a problem with Paddy transferring to try and get county football somewhere else.
Hasnt really been any in Connacht I think, been a few in the clubs, Donal Vaughan recently enough went from Ballinrobe to Castlebar that was a poor move by him. Stephen Brodrick from Westport to Ballintubber a few years back. Mark Ronaldson went to Oranmore which is out of the county so not the worst but Oranmore be only 40mins from his home club so again not great move.

You should see some of the ones in Galway then at both adult & underage, no regard for rules in some of the cases. I know one young lad who is now with his fourth hurling club.

Some places are lawless though, so not many of these type of transfers. Dublin and Cork cities have no rules as far as I've seen. I remember talking to a lad I know in Cork a few years back: him and his mates grew up in a housing estate, 3 houses in a row, and the 3 of them played for 3 different clubs. In Dublin seems you can play for whoever you want, nobody cares.

Didn't Paddy O'Malley play for Mayo seniors in the FBD? wasn't picked on their panel this year Hennelly,Clarke and Byrne of Castlebar seem to be the three keepers of choice for Horan. Hardly a judas transfer, the opportunity to play for Roscommon is there when his mom is a rossie and 1st and 2nd choice Roscommon goalkeepers opting out for the year ahead.

No think think anyone cares. From what I've heard he has excellent talent and can get rewards in Waterford, best of luck to him. Hopefully he gets the opportunity he never could with Meath.

Stefan was some player. His father Stephen was on the great Louth team in 1957 which won Sam.

Jack in fairness has been around Waterford for awhile. He transferred to De La Salle first and I don't believe he was medal hunting as he was not a shoe in to make the Waterford team. At present he is a fringe player but that may change as he is talented but inter county is a big step up. Hopefully he makes it as good forwards are scarce and by all accounts he is a nice lad.

Tomas Tierney transferred from Galway to Mayo in the 80's.
Got severely "softened up" in every match V Galway afterwards.
