Now now. Why bring it down a level. ? My post was in response to Kerry folk nonsense. When in Rome and all that...! Typical of some who can dish it but can't take it. No wonder ye are so unliked. No matter how they try to show their true colours, and bitterness - It won't take the smile off all Dub supporters faces. Winter well. We certainly will. Atha Cliath Abu. Oh the irony.

What you mean like the 5 in a row Dubs not being 'tested' in Leinster? That 'tested' myth was busted a long time ago. It's was a stroll to a semi, the path of least resistance for Kerry back in the auld days.

The fact Kerry beat the best the other provinces had to offer says enough for me. Football was on a more even footing back then. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 15/10/2019 19:14:28 2243793 Link 4 |

Couldn't have more even if one county only had to play 1 game to win a provincial title. How is that more even than now when a team has to play 9 championship games to win a AI?

At the end of the day the records will show that Dublin started this 5 In A Row beating Kerry in a Final, and achieved the fabled 5 In A Row by beating Kerry in the final - that is all that matters. It don't get any sweeter than that.... So put that in your pipe and smoke it.... ;o) Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 3724 - 16/10/2019 15:20:15 2243947 Link 4 |
This Dublin team won't be fabled. It will be Leinster like dominance in the AI series. Dublin winning every year is normal and expected. If you ever don't people will be saying Dublin threw that away and will feel confident you'll win it straight back the year after.

This is supposed to be about Dublin playing in Mullingar not some arm wrestle about this wonderful Dublin team and an equally talented Kerry team of the seventies and eighties.

You may as well talk to the dog instead of trying to get through to some of the Kerry lads here with that point. You'll get a better response from it anyway. Even? Pull the other one :)

Exactly - thank you. But all topics are currently being highjacked by kerry whingers though. ;o( Gonna be along few months for them.... For the record - it should be played in Mullingar and I have yet to see or hear a Dub say otherwise. Cant see Dublin CB objecting to it either. 5 in a row is astonishing regardless of what team has won and regardless of how easy Leinster is. They won 9 games in the championship this year alone. How many were in the LSFC? It's like saying if Barca win the CL 5 years in a row it will be meaningless as the group stages were easy. Look how close this Dublin team have been run to win those finals. Incredible stuff and no doubt that their feat will be the stuff of legend for decades to come.

The standoff would be hilarious especially expecting players and fans to play in a dump like your county ground.

Home All-Irelands are like something null and void. There is simply no respect for it. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7821 - 22/10/2019 11:41:05 2244918 Link 0 |
Null and Void eh......then so is winning an All Ireland after only playing 3 games or winning through the back door mate...

Actually Parnell Park is a very tight pitch and would not be up to the standard of other Leinster County grounds (incl Cusack Park). Dublin were fortunate in getting Croke Park among other things handed to them. We appreciate but dont gloat Ashrules (Dublin) - Posts: 518 - 22/10/2019 12:52:31 2244930 Link 0 |
Yawn! Let's get this topic back on topic. Are Leinster footballers brave enough to go on strike for venue equity? Look at Munster! Kerry the champions winning without a game in Killarney in a provincial championship that has fixture and venue equity.

A lot of us don't want Croke Park for league games. It's a cold, empty, lifeless, wind swept cavern in the league. Give me the Neller any day. I know it's not practical due to it's size but we desperately need a halfway house, 25-30K seater stadium. I guess HQ have to justify Croker's existence at the same time.
