Happy retirement to killian young. One of the half backs along with Tomas O'Se and Eamon Breen to play for kerry? 6 all irelands is a serious achievement.

Best of luck to Killian Young in his retirement. A lovely footballer to watch. Many's the day he saved Kerry's bacon. Always showed class and sportsmanship. No skulduggery to him at all.

And 4 All-Ireland medals to boot; a fine return in the modern era!

If only he had got that shot away in the dying moments of the 15 Final how things might have played out differently.
Ah well, the last link to that last great era of Kerry football the 06-09 team.
Nothing last's forever, thanks for the memories and wearing the Green and Gold with pride Killian!

People forget he captained kerry to our last U21 tittle in 2008 and won young player of the year in 2007. Very very much underrated defender.

Listening to various experts and pundits last few days, answered a question for me, he has been on and off the treatment table with injuries since 2014 and I wondered why he was staying on or what he offered, by all accounts he was a savage talker in the dressing room a real leader, motivator and extremely captivating, that's a side I never though existed as he comes across so unassuming and quiet.

Still in all, thanks Killian, he's another link lost to the great team of the noughties, am I right in saying only Tommy now remains from the 2008 team.

The last active footballer outside the capital with more than 2 Celtic Crosses. Believe that leaves Tommy Walsh and David Moran as the only non-Dublin footballers still playing that have won more than one All-Ireland.

Congrats to Killian on a great career. Saw him play for Colaiste Na Sceilige, South Kerry, and Kerry and he always gave it his all for every team. Best of luck to him in the future.
