Someone hits all the thumbs down icons....ha ha ha. He probably lost money on the match and now has to go back to washing dishes or whatever...

Would have to be up here all things considered (male/female - underage to senior in both football and hurling/camogie). Certainly in the reckoning with Cork maybe

I didn't see the match, so I have to take your word re Galway team. Congratulations to our neighbours Westmeath on their great performance yesterday. The play senior camogie in 2020.

Galway are probably the best gaa county but per head the battle is between Offaly, Westmeath and Laois. Congratulations to a magnificent Galway and to our own wonderful Girls who did us proud.

There is tremendous growth potential in the Women's Gaelic games. The attendance for the final almost doubled over just a few years ago. They are half the population and the GAA would do well to nurture this large market.

Congrats to Galway, deserving winners. Kilkenny had a go this year unlike the ultra defensive efforts from the previous two finals, but defensively we were a shambles in the first half. Galway scored 3 goals and could have scored another 3 in the first half by my reckoning.

Frustrating watching Kilkenny. Too easily pushed off the ball, dropping the ball, throwing up the ball in front of opposition players to be blocked! Silly mistakes. I think the nervousness of losing 3 All Irelands in a row got to them and affected their performance. Galway had massive intensity, tackled in twos and threes. They weren't under the same pressure and it showed.

Even though Kilkenny weren't as defensive as the previous two finals, I still think the players were subconsciously programmed to have the hand brake on. I was watching the game from the back of the Davin and at least 3 times in the second half, Kilkenny players got the ball around the 65 with 30 or 40 yards of open field in front of them. Instead of doing what Galway did and drive into the open space, they decided to take the "safe" option and go for long range points (2 of the 3 shots went wide).

Ann Downey stepped down after the final. Great servant to Kilkenny camogie obviously, but it was the correct decision in my opinion, she's taken the team as far as she's going to. The team need a fresh face and a new voice in charge.

Whoever takes over the team from Ann Downey will have a lot of talent to work with.
