Ah here, cannot figure you out and you know I'm probably adding oxygen to your fire but agree with the actual Kerry men posts, you are not kerry as anyone over the age of 12 knows that ex players Darragh, Mick O'Connell and the legendary Jacko are iconic and David as good as he is this year is not on the same league and no disrespect to him. Admittedly he was pivotal in 2014 and again in getting us to Croker on final day but no not is the same league as Darragh or Jacko,

You know I often question the credibility of Admin and the ability to kill stupid thread but I suppose free speech and the right to voice opinion has to be taken into account

But David has played in average teams over the years. Great to see him leading a great team now and will deservingly get another medal to his collection next Saturday. An inspirational leader like his father Ogie

Replying To kerryforsam19:  "David Moran gave a exhibition of high fielding last sunday. Cleaned fenton while at. Done same to Aidan O'Shea, Brian Menton and Coml Cavanagh throughout the year. >Is there a better midfielder in the country? Would rate him above Mick O'Connell, Jack O'Shea and Darragh O'Se as kerry greatest midfielder of all time."
Nope...Mick O' Connell had expert and accurate freetaking to go with his sublime fielding and football skills. Fenton should perform better next Saturday. Moran did impress though...he is a battler.

He didn't have a great game and kicked 3 bad wides, but he never hid. He kept going until the end. The 2nd half throw-in is one I'm sure he'd like to have back. It was uncontested and he could've caught it cleanly. The rest is history now.
One thing I will say is the black card worked in the case of the Murchan goal. I've no doubt Moran would've pulled him down otherwise. With a full half of football to go, he knew he couldn't do it.

He was waiting for Murchan to take that next hop or solo. It just never came. Murchan ran from the edge of the D to just outside the 14 without playing the ball.

We've seen dozens of goals scored like that. If it wasn't for the pull on Murchan's arm, he would've been even further away from him. He took a gamble that Murchan would miss, which in fairness was a good possibility. After a long tiring run like that, coming straight at the goal, it was an excellent finish.
I have no doubt whatsoever that he would've rugby tackled him, if it wasn't for the black card. If it was late in them game, he definitely would have.

Difficult to take a hop when somebody is swinging out of your arm so I guess Lane gave Murchan the added advantage which is probably fair enough as he would have hopped had he not been fouled. Moran did well to stay within 10 feet of Murchan anyway as he has electric pace.

I agree he was fouled. It should've been a free in. The advantage rule was correctly applied. This is not free licence to take as many steps as you like tho. It's like saying he could've thrown the ball into the net because he'd just been fouled.

Well these things generally even themselves out. Spillane took 8 steps for his goal in the drawn game and he was in the act of being fouled. Swings and roundabouts.
