Thanks for the comments Geniusgerry. Moynihan was some defender. He wasnt a natural full back yet when he played there in 2000 he was footballer of the year and main reason kerry won Sam in 2000. He did brillant job on Padraig Joyce at the time in drawn and replay All Ireland final. This was a time when Joyce was at peak of his powers and best forward in the country. Moynihan is the Paul McGrath of gaelic football. The most naturally talented defender I ever saw play the game.

Clifford got a roasting the last day. It will stand to him the next day. His stock will rise. McCaffrey shone the last day. He should have been countered on that day. He probably won't get so lucky two days running. His stock will remain as it is. plike (Kerry) - Posts: 569 - 05/09/2019 11:06:14 2232969 Link 0 |
Hampsey hardly kicked a ball all year for Tyrone

McNamee in the FB line ahead of Hampsey surely. No way Donegal are getting 2 in the forwards and Kerry only 1. 2 from Clifford, O'Brien and Kilkenny to replace McHugh and Murphy, albeit it will be unfair on Murphy when he's left out. Saying Cluxton should get it every year is madness, and buying into the over hype of him in the media. But he'll get it this year. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 4980 - 05/09/2019 11:24:56 2232977 Link 0 |
Ye cos that's how the world works! Both could perform exactly the same as the last day or not at all. There are no guarantees.

Cluxton is virtually guaranteed the goals this year as he has been the best goalkeeper in the championship. GeniusGerry (Kerry) - Posts: 2105 - 05/09/2019 12:48:15 2233006 Link 6 |

Good shout on Keoghan actually. Yeah, Cluxton has been the best this year and should and will get it. He wasn't last year and lost out to Beggan, Clarke the previous year, etc. . cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 4980 - 05/09/2019 16:11:15 2233086 Link 0 |
McHugh got an undeserved All Star last year. No chance he gets a second.
