Replying To Tizcold:  "Absolutely no talk in the media about the drive for 5.....Gavin has the Dublin media wrapped around his finger!! If it was something he wanted highlighted there would be past players coming out of the woodwork all sides."
Well he has the benefit of learning from Kerry's experience. 5 in a row dinner dances were organised, T-shirts celebrating the 5 in a row were ons ale.
It was natural for them to be confident. They had a super team. But there must have been some complacency in the air.
I don't think Jim actually 'controls' the media. He just deals with it on his terms.

A Marsa a day helps you work, rest and play football.

Sure, that was the Undertones, not David Bowie.

Spot on. No dinner dances organised before the event. If we win then so be it. How many Dub jounos are in this "media" anyway? If anyone sees any genuine Dublin journalists proclaiming a Dublin 5 in a row before it happens please let us know and the genuine Dublin fans will lambaste them. If it's coming from Tropical Keyboard Warrior in Brazil or similar sources then at least we can have a laugh and dismiss it as cute hoorisn.
