Enjoyable game. Kerry not at their best and again Meath were running on empty in the last 15mins. Keep shooting ourselves in the foot at times. Both Kerry goals came from bad mistakes. The second one was really poor defending, no need to dive in front for the ball at all. Thought McMahon was very good again and the young lads up front, particularly Walsh, played very well at times. Lavin was excellent again. Don't understand why Shane Gallagher was made to play the whole game when he was clearly injured. Keogan looked like he had an injury too. Still badly need a new keeper, costing us so many scores. Also a midfielder to replace McEntee. He tries very hard but just isn't good enough of an athlete to start. Meath fans will see it as a successful year but it's a falsehood in my opinion. Went full throttle at the league when other teams weren't at full tilt and then had a handy Leinster draw to final and the easiest of qualifier games to get into super 8s where you were comprehensively beaten in all games. Well done Kerry. Overall I think we have put the debate to bed about our worthiness in super 8s we were there on merit. Now all eyes turn to league there's no ifs buts or maybes, the priority has to be staying in division one I'm hoping for 3 games in Navan. The opposition in those 3 games will be what determines our year. Huge thanks to Andy the backroom team but particularly the players for a great year. Roll on 2020 Hon the royals" Meaths FB line is the best in the country in my opinion. What Meath miss is a partner for Menton and a few quality forwards and impact off the bench. Not being smart here but im not sure how you can claim that Meath didn't look out of place in the super 8s, they lost esch game by 8 points.
