group 1 dublin meath kildare laois group 2 wicklow louth longford carlow offaly

home and away matches this would promote leinster football . the leinster football championship is a joke in my view . wicklow do not win many matches in leinster but if this was looked at wicklow would get a better chance.

End result.

Dublin win it by an average of score of about 18 points.

Sounds good to me.

Every day that goes by makes me more convinced that there should just be 2 divisions of 16. Every plays everyone else once and the top teams go forward to the playoffs for their division.

Wicklow need to play more games, it'll be pretty boring to be playing Leinster teams twice a season when they could be playing more games against all the teams in Ireland at their level.

The idea of running the football provincials along the lines of the hurling appeals to me, strictly on a home and away basis so if Dublin have to play away to Wicklow or Carlow then they will play in Aughrim or Dr Cullen Park regardless of how many seats there are to facilitate season ticket holders, it would freshen up the championship and allow big days at lesser venues and towns and better atmospheres, certainly should be looked at

15 games in the championship all over the country?

Attendances would be poor methinks.

The provincial championships are not going to be scrapped. Premium tickets have been linked to All-Ireland quarter-finals in Croke Park. How will the professionals of England be stopped in the Amateur Women's Six Nations?

12 counties in Leinster, only 11 play in the provincial football championship, Kilkenny are the exception.

Yeh, 15 games each a season from March to August to merge the league and championship. 7 home games guaranteed each season.

They'd be on average less but overall I don't think attendance would be down.

I think you'd get a higher average than the National league.

There's already currently a trend towards higher league attendances and lower championship attendances.

The casual fan is probably deserting the GAA whilst there's more dedicated fans. I think the association needs to move in the direction of catering for the latter.

Totally agree. Let each provence vary the structure of the groups a little to suit the numbers but force each provence to shed 50% by the end
