Replying To westkerry:  "Wait till 4pm on Sunday, Last week Keegan was not going to play for a few weeks with ligaments and he comes on against Galway.
I dont believe any rumours until the throw in."
It's hardly a rumour. Everyone saw Durcan being taken off injured last weekend.

I fancy us at home , Peter is a smart guy and he'l have learned a lot from the two defeats in the league and he will have had a lot of time to tidy Mayo .
If we don't win it'll be a loss but peter can use the final two games to blood some more of our young lads in crokepark against Donegal and against Meath.

True..Keegan wasnt fully fit either dont know why they brought up on.
Durcan is different though, seemed like a muscle injury he pulled up with, they wont heal in a week.
The ankle injury can be taped and you wont really do it much damage not much risk but the muscle injury is big risk and could end up missing all the games

Ya but we also saw Keegan being lifted off against Armagh the week before.

Keegan's injury was also very real. Why else would he only play 10 minutes in our most important game of the year?

He came off before half time against Armagh and only played the last 10 against Galway. It was clearly a clever ploy to confuse Kerry!

Totally agree with you. It looks like the H & S folk decide these issues and most of them would not know a potential danger unless it effected themselves. You would think that all spectators rush in and out at the same time -such nonsense and the country is full of it. Maybe that is why be are building a children's hospital where nobody get in or out off!!

Iv no doubt that he hurt himself Dan it's just sometimes managers like to pretend that injuries are worse than they really are.

Let's just say we won't be shocked down here if durcan plays on Sunday which I hope he does, we want to see the best players playing not sitting in the stand.

I think it's all part of these "dark arts" I keep hearing about. McGeeney, Fitzmaurice and a few random posters on here accusing Mayo of some skulduggery or other, surely they can't all be wrong. Keegan going off injured just to confuse Galway, Paddy Durcan going off injured just to confuse Kerry. Sure you can't be up to them Mayo lads at all at all. And did anyone notice that Diarmuid and Mattie were supposed to get injured in training. Sure who gets injured in training, very suspicious. Did anyone actually see it. It's all a ruse to lull the Dubs into a false sense of security for the final. Mark my words they'll all be back, Tom Parsons included and all well rested too. Maybe I shouldn't say this but Stephen Rockford is still the Mayo manager. He only went up north to spy on Donegal and them other counties up there and report back to his assistant Horan. People talking about dark arts they don't know the half of it. And don't get me started on cynicism!

Now Durans out
If Kerry cant beat a Mayo team missing more or less their whole backbone ,
then they may-aswell throw in the towel Sunday Night.

Liam injuries are often exaggerated by teams to try to disrupt the opponents preparation and game planning. Nobody is saying it's exclusive to Mayo. I don't trust injury reports during the week of a big game from any team including my own.

You wouldn't be cynical by any chance, Llaw?

I think Mayo will have enough here. They won't find it difficult to get scores but the'll have to tighten up themselves defensively. Keith Higgins has been loose but somehow he manages to adapt to what's needed for the game in hand. It's unfortunate for them that their home game is against Meath as they'd be expected to win that even in Navan. I fancy Mayo and Donegal to progress from this group. This Rossie will be supporting his neighbours!

I'm just thinking if Kerry win on Sunday we will have massive support traveling to crokepark the following Sunday but if we lose we won't have 500 supporters at the Donegal game.

When is the last time Kerry had massive support making the trip to Croke Park other than for an AI Final or against the Dubs? I've been in Croke Park for semis before with Kerry playing and green and gold jerseys in the stands were few and far between. 500 is a good estimate either way

Mayo with half a team of old lads, limping into Fortress Killarney against a team of fast skillful young lads.

Kerry will run the legs off them. We are praying for a drop of rain to keep us in the game.
