Mayo V Galway

Big game required from the ref. As highlighted recently Mayo are specialists in the dark arts and bring them to every game, Burke, Walsh and Farragher need protection from the Mayo backline and cynical fouls off the ball.

Can not wait for this game. Galway v Mayo in knock out football doesn't get much bigger than this. Atmosphere will be electric down in limerick. Best of luck to both.

Depends on how many show up. We know Mayo supporters will and they ll hang around for the night. Galway...well we ll see how many of them make the trip. It would be good for them to see a city that's almost the exact opposite of their own. A very straight talking, value for your buck ,understated place.

Potentially match of the year so far. Hopefully both teams will go hammer and tongs at it.
For Kerry, I think Galway would be easier than Mayo , but if Galway still stick with their negative stuff I hope mayo beat them out the gate. Expect a close encounter but possibly Mayo to get over the line.

James Carr also named on the bench. Fair play to Galway ladies, deserved winners. I hope they put on the wireless to fill the gap until 7.

Many changes on Galway team, Sean Andy not starting, Flynn not starting. Kelly and MCDaid midfield. Kyne starts

Yeah, worrying isn't the word I'd use, but this team is certainly untested, and to now have to deliver against Mayo in a do or die game, that's a big ask. Should be some game.

Beir bua Gaillimh!!

Galway are fragile and as much as Mayo could blow it I can't see them losing this one.
O Connor could be the difference if it's anyway close.

Super start for Mayo. Galway defense is all over the place.

I think Dublin Joe should be renamed Mayo Joe. Very pro Mayo in first 17 mins.

Sorry I am not at match. Very poor peno from Galway. What is going on. Surely there must be changes in the way things are done in the team.

Enough is enough Dublin Joe should never be allowed to ref a game again, what a disgraceful performance, a number of black card fouls went unpunished, 2 red cards fouls gave yellows instead, a child wouldn't even have been that poor, get rid of him once and for all

An unbelievable performance from Joe. Have no loyalty to either county but my god was he nice to Mayo tonight. I wonder has he ever seen Cillian O Connor play before? Holding on to backs and then going down as if he were shot when the back holds on to him. Gaa must want the Mayo following to keep the show on the road for them .
Galway have no one to blame but themselves with penalty miss and dire first half performance.
Expect Mayo to struggle against Kerry and Donegal in super 8s and bow out again.
Coen kicked some lovely scores mind, neither Galway back were able to stop him!

I like seeing Mayo in the final shakeup. Game against Kerry in Killarney should be a cracker
