He will get a ban youd imagine.

Looked a lot worse than it was. He actually flicked the ball away before going through casey. Bubbles was a red. Ronan's was a yellow. The replay showing it from the other angle didn't look half as bad

Reluctant to criticize referees doing a job that can not be done by one referee. However this referee was standing looking at a deliberate attempt to injure an opponent. He should be sanction as well as the player. There is no earthly way he did not not see it as he was standing behind the play and not unsighted. As the game was slipping from Tipp they became reckless with their challenges.

Well done to limerick. Amazing how far they've come over the past two seasons. It's still basically a new team.
Probably the best full back line we've seen in a long long time and hannon gels the whole defence together.
I probably underestimated how big of a loss Bonner is to our forward line with his direct running. Certainly missed that today. Limerick also got their tactics spot on. They completely annihilated us in midfield from start to finish.
I didn't expect Barrett to play and was worried our corner backs would be found out especially if our half back line was dominant but both done quite well. If you told me before the game we'd hold Gillane and mulcahy to a few points I'd be very confident but limerick have class players everywhere now.
From a tipp perspective it's a blow but sheedy has been here before and we haven't become a bad team over night. Limerick hot favs now for the all Ireland but every team left will still fancy their chances.

Congrats to Limerick on what can only be described as a complete performance. Out thought and out fought once we got the goal Limerick turned the screw and when you go in two points down in what was easily a six point wind your playing catch up as practically anyone on that Limerick team 5-15 is capable of landing points from distance.
An off day from our lads but they will learn. Our bounce back will be interesting a possible meeting with Dublin and Wexford should we get over the boys in blue but I won't hold my breath plenty of work to do but with 4 wins under our belt before today it's not the end of the world.
Limerick will take some stopping they are ruthless like the Kilkenny teams in the past who put you to the sword when on top of their game.
It's 1-1 now hopefully a finale in August. Well done again to Limerick will be hard going into work in the morning there!!!

That's a ridiculous statement to be honest. Watch it back again. It was an unreal flick away by Maher. If he only had one thing on his mind, did the ball just magically come off his hurl just before that. People just listen to commentary and don't actaully look at things for themselves
Probably a yellow card but talking about a ban for that? Open your eyes

Nasty deliberate tackle by Ronan Maher that the ref should have seen. CCCC have the power & should look at it & s suspension follow.

I had to double check to see if Noel McGrath was in the lineout, I don't recall him even getting a touch on the ball...

Read Brian Gavin in this mornings examiner if you want an unbiased take on why Maher should have been sent off.
Inexcusable tackle.

I've watched these two incidents back. Bubbles' hit was extremely reckless. I don't think he deliberately went to strike the head as he wasn't looking where he was swinging, but it was a case of "swing first, ask questions later". But for reckless use of the hurl, a red card would have been merited. Does the fact that he got a yellow mean that it can't be retrospectively upgraded as the incident has already been "dealt with" on the field?

I don't think Ronan Maher's challenge was malicious. I think his primary aim was to swipe the ball away and his momentum carried him into the player. I don't think there was intent to hurt the player.

Hard to call an All Ireland winner as any team can beat the other on a given day."
Good psychology or wishful thinking from a Cork standpoint.

Feeble attempt at damage control. Should have been 2 red cards.
