Sligo And Leitrim Hurlers Prove The West Is Awake!

fair play to Sligo, that's two promotions in 2 years, seems like great work being done in the county to promote the game. They will now be mixing it with neighbours Roscommon and Mayo. Mayo's development in hurling appears to have stagnated a bit, whilst Roscommon look to have recovered a bit this year.
There is some great work being done outside of the traditional counties at underage to promote hurling and get much more games for teams with Tain Og league which includes about 15 different counties.

I agree completely, with the introduction of the Christy Ring and Nickey Rackard competitions there was a promise that both finals would precede an All Ireland semifinal and be televised live, a promise long since broken.
