Clare V Cork

(Oldest Posts First)

A tight one to call with Clare needing to win in Ennis to have any chance of avoiding elimination.

What are the predictions out there for Sunday's meeting between The Banner and The Rebels?

Clares only plan v Limerick was to bomb the ball to the full forwards and I dont see that changing or going too well for them on Sunday.

The lack of scorers and points from play against Limerick was shocking and seems to be no confidence in the middle 8

Can't see anything but a comprehensive Cork win. Was shocked at how poor Clare were against us.
Maybe they'll be spitting fire and hammer into Cork but won't hold my breath...

Cork played in fits and starts against Waterford, and only pulled away in last 20 minutes. Full back line needs to improve, as the Clare full forward line is potent. Steven McDonnell is a good option for corner back.
Meyler needs to find his best 15... I feel that this team has as yet not played to full potential.
My team would be:
Nash, O' Donoghue, Cadogan, McDonnell, Downey,Ellis,Coleman, Cooper, Fitzgibbon, Kearney, Harnedy, Lehane, Cadogan, Horgan, Kingston

I expect there will be one last kick in Clare. At home and against Cork who more than most they owe a beating. I feel they will come out all guns blazing but the 3 weeks in a row may mean they will run our of steam. I sure hope they go down with a fight.

There should be plenty of steam left after the effort of the last 2 week.

Cork will win this game at a canter.

Clare are still a good team despite recent results. Tipperary and Limerick appear to be head and shoulders over everyone else in Munster at the moment.
Cork showed just how vulnerable they were still are by the two goals they conceded against Waterford. They didn't not begin to dominate until the last five minutes, after Waterford brought on their subs.
Both Cork and Clare have been evenly matched over the last number of years and there still isn't much between them. It all depends on how each play on the day. I'm mighty nervous about this

Is it codding yourself you are at or what ?
Sure if Clare at home can't stay within 10 points of Cork who were destroyed by Tipp at home then the Munster championship is in big trouble. Ye may as well pack it in now so.

Glad to be wrong. Pride restored. Great fight shown and we will be back. Great to see our minors going well too.
