Down Vs Armagh

(Oldest Posts First)

Looking forward to this game.

I think it will be tight in Park Esler. Down are missing a few good players.....Johnston, O'Hanlon, Millar.

A lot of people are talking Armagh up as potential Ulster finalists. I just don't see it. They have some good players but there defence is very poor IMHO.

Is Jaime Clarke playing for Crossmaglen this year?

Not sure about Clarke playing with Cross this year but I see the Armagh team named on the home page and it looks a strong enough one.

Fancy them to win it by five or six.

I think they will win as well. Just don't rate them as highly as others. I could be proved wrong!!

Armagh's record in the Ulster championship under McGeeney is deplorable. I wouldn't be backing them this weekend.

Armagh should win this game by a few points, having been playing in a higher division with a more settled squad/coach

BUT

I always believe Down can win in the championship! Newry is no real advantage to us, and as the apple pickers will tell you, one end of the marshes is in Armagh anyway.

Curious to see if Jarlath Óg lives up to his billing.
