Who Can Stop Kerry Minors?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Told that last nights trouncing of Cork was their 31st win on the trot at this level . Two questions. Can anybody stop them in 2019 and who was the last team to beat them at championship level?.

Last time they were beaten was by Tyrone in 2013. Both counties had very strong teams out that day.

Think they have a good team this year but don't know where they stack up in terms of previous teams. Cork team last night were right in it until just after half time and also had a few injuries as well so they will be there or thereabouts.

Anyone know of the relative strength of any of the other minor teams?

Cork were the favourites to win during the week in a number of newspapers.
i think this is the least hopeful Kerry minor team in a while so I think they have as good but no better as winning the AI this year as 4/5 other minor counties.

The one difference Iv noticed in this years Kerry minors is that they're a lot bigger and physically stronger than the last 5 teams and boy can they move, they have all the skills and that Kerry cuteness and are fierce athletic.

The Cork team were very decent the last night and I could see them make the allireland final.

Ah Kingdomboy sure Kerry have had athletes masquerading as footballers for a good few years now, that's why they don't win much nowadays, it's hard for them to compete with good footballing counties like Dublin, Mayo, Donegal and Tyrone when they don't have the natural footballers to compete at senior level.

Lol yer boys didn't even make it to the Leinster final last year john and in us winning our 5 in a row we didn't come across a Dublin team once.

No if anything we have too much football so our chairman Tim Murphy gave our new minor manager a job of finding big athletic players so we can take on Dublin in the future, it's all in last weeks Kerry's eye you can look it up on line.

Still surprised they call it 5 in a row when it's two different age levels, does that mean Tyrone we're joint Champions in 2017?

It's called the minor football championship kid.

And if you look up the minor football roll of honor you'll see that it's a legitimate 5 in a row , the first ever in men's football.

I imagine these minor victories provide some comfort to Kerry supporters given how far back into the pack the senior team have fallen in the last decade.

I've seen Donegal and Tyrone this year and neither will be in the shake up for AI honours.

Most other counties would not mind having their record in the previous ten or twelve years.
2009....won
2010....lost quarter final
2011....lost the final
2012....lost the quarter final
2013....lost the semi
2014....won

They are, the midfield are very big midfielder on the bench.

Half backs are good, they don't do much goin forward but stick to defending.

Was going to say that. Most counties would be well happy with 2 all Ireland's and several final appearances in ten years. Days of Kerry dominating are gone but they've been there or thereabouts most years still.
