Like most people on this forum we are already familiar with the back n forth. We just don't want to read more of the same on this thread.

Good man, I take your point. Will we clash in August. I will stick out my neck and, well as you say, make a prediction that we will. I think contrary to what many think that Kilkenny will take Cork and Tipp will edge Dublin. Both of these could be cliff hangers, as could both the ensuing semi Finals. The final should also be a cliff hanger. I disagree with any contention that Limerick are firm favourites for the ultimate prize and it could go to any of the six remaining counties.

I'm going for kk to beat cork. You should have enough to beat them but Cody will have them as wired as hell and it won't be easy.
I wouldn't be one little bit surprised to see Laois beating the dubs. They have some serious forwards and their style of play would be suited to giving it a fair old rattle. The dubs similar to Wexford don't put up big scores.
Tipp will have too much firepower up front to beat both Laois and the Dubs methinks.
If it's Wexford v Tipp in the semi, the first 15 mins will be the key. If we can stop the early goals I think our intensity will see us through.

This is a thread set up just for a little bit of good natured fun.
Take a leaf out of your county hurlers and have a bit of class about yer."
I'm sorry I didn't tip Wexford here Ej but I did back them with the bookies as I knew how close it would be. You are 100% correct in everything you say. I don't reply to those who have chips on their shoulders I just give my opinion on matches and as you say it's all a bit of fun but certain posters are very very sensitive and it gets to them but hey YOLO so keep laughing as I say!

Leave Oldtourman he's a stalwart of this board, long before I started posting I knew he was a good poster. Always take his posts with the respect they deserve.
Key point = read the poster name before reading the post! You know who to reply to then!!!

you wouldn't be ''one little bit surprised'' to see Laois beat the dubs. Sure you wouldn't.....

You'd wanna get yourself down to a bookies so. Laois are 7/1.

For those of you who dont understand betting. If EJ puts 10 euro on Laois at 7/1, EJ will lose 10 euro

I didn't say they will win. I said I wouldn't be surprised. However, I will be backing them and will cover the bet with the +8 Laois get in the handicap.
Please don't infer that I have anything but respect for Dublin hurling and their hurlers.
It wasn't so many years ago that Dublin were deemed a tier 2 hurling county but with gaa investment (spent wisely) and good structures they worked hard to get to the next level. The vast majority of hurling followers respected and welcomed that. Laois and other counties are attempting to do the same without the investment. Maybe you should show the same respect.

Ah i'm only having a bit of craic.

Great respect for Laois hurling. Wasn't so long ago Id consider them our biggest rivals.

Was great to see them win the Christy Ring and they brought a great crowd to Croke Park. Nothing but respect.

But I wont play the ''Cute Kerry Hoorism'' card. And i wont apologise for being confident about my counties chances. Too many people on here try to downplay there counties chances while being quietly confident. Not me.

The truth is Id be absolutely gutted/shell shocked if Laois beat us. I just cant see it happening, and I dont think there's any reasonable basis to suggest otherwise!!

So essentially you tipped both horses in a two horse race and did not announce you had backed the second one until after the race was over. Ah yea- whatever.

Oldtourman is 1 of the classiest poster on any of these threads and 1 of the most knowledgeable. Katser could open a fastfood burger chain........

Limerick are favourites. Id say even your wife would agree on that 1!
