(Oldest Posts First)

Anyone have any clue when these are starting? Nearly in March and not a dicky bird from our great County Board......I shouldn't be surprised really!

Lets start with what happened (or will happen) to the mysterious 2018 Leader Cup Final.

I've heard that the league game between killoe and mull is going to double up as the leader cup final and battle for 2 points.

Seriously, what is the story? When do leagues start? Have fixtures even been prepared yet?

Some underage leagues and the adult Reserve Leagues would have been underway by this time last year for sure. Senior Leagues would not typically kick in until end of March. So definitely a month behind in some things already. I can see the merit in not nailing down everything until you knew when Mullinalaghta were cut loose from All Ireland Club as it is a massive undertaking to rearrange a years fixtures. But all Non Division 1 adult stuff could be rolling by now and is not. Not sure whats going on with underage - some is underway but Minor Leagues were in full flow from mid Feb in 2018. We will know soon enough I suppose.

Up and running and Leader Cup Final now scheduled too. So who will come out on top in Leader Cup final and who do you fancy for the 2019 league? Hard to see beyond Mullinalaghta for anything this year. The cobwebs may prove too difficult to brush off for Killoe in the upcoming Leader Cup final. 6.5 months between their last senior game in 2018 and first one in 2019, versus the continuous games and training for Mullinalaghta, so hard to see how the rolling stone doesn't take that title. League itself will probably be close enough, not too much between some teams. Mullinalaghta still appear to be a cut above the rest for now.

Because of Podgie Berry's wedding last weekend.

I was on about the venue.....is there no other ground in the county closer to both teams with suitable lights? If not, could they not of left it til a free weekend? The first round game between Mull and Clonguish is re-fixed for this weekend.

The only other venues would have been Killoe or Monaduff, neither of which are all that close. Six of one, half-dozen of the other.

I will be diplomatic here and say that there are difficulties at the moment with clubs mutually agreeing refixtures and then finding that that agreement gets overruled at a higher level. The 2018 Leader Cup final has still to be played.

Thanks Turnip.....I've been out of the county a number of years so I wasn't sure what clubs had or had not lights. I actually thought Abbey had lights but obviously not.
